Greg Loiacono Songs From A Golden Dream

The Mother Hips co-founder Greg Loiacono will release his solo debut on Friday. Songs From a Golden Dream features 11 new songs from Loiacono, who co-produced the album with David Simon-Baker (Los Lobos, Jack Johnson, ALO). The personnel includes Jackie Greene on Hammond organ, drummer Todd Roper (Cake, Chuck Prophet), bassist Scott Thunes (Frank Zappa, The Mother Hips, Fear) and Lefty Knight on pedal steel and sitar.  The album presents a variety of moods and textures, ranging from straight-ahead rock to Bakersfield country to more atmospheric expressions.
